In this digital era, we all have a smartphone now. So, as a result, we become very much concerned about our so-called social life than our real life. You can see in every two or three weeks there is a new trend comes in these social media & we start to follow that blindly. I feel the various medium of social media influences our life greatly. They are so improved that every time you search or post anything they show thousands of result that ends in diverting our mind. Now, what is SAD? Social anxiety disorder (SAD), also known as social phobia, is an anxiety disorder characterized by a significant amount of fear in one or more social situation causing considerable distress and impaired ability to function in at least some parts of daily life.

This is actually not like people observe in one another but silently it can lead on to deep depression. SAD is sometimes referred to as an illness of lost opportunities where “individuals make major life choices to accommodate their illness”. According to research teenagers & young peoples between 18-25 are prone to having this problem. Now how actually this happens:

1)Let’s assume you’re very active on various social media, and many people follow you. Now suddenly you did a wrong thing or add a post that is against the present trend people start attacking you by trolling. And if are not strong enough & responds quickly it might lead to this social anxiety disorder.

2)Now let’s think of another situation where you’re a normal people who have some friends in these media. Now suddenly if they stop sending you messages, tagging you on posts or replying you how you’ll react? That’s happened for many of us which tempted us for a temporary depression which is another form of SAD.

Now what are the way to effect of this SAD on us, let’s see. Doctors say that as it is psychological problems if we can’t control it properly it might affect us in our daily work, job and even relationships. Physical symptoms often include excessive blushing, excess sweating, trembling, palpitations, and nausea. Stammering may be present, along with rapid speech. Panic attacks can also occur under intense fear and discomfort. The person who suffers from this feel relieved when they got a notification message from someone. Until that happens this thought haunts them that they may do something wrong.

So what are the ways that can help us to get rid of this problem-

1)First of all, we have to build a habit to keep alone our phone for a particular time & spend less time on social media.

2)Next, we have to start real life conversation with our family, our relatives, our real friends as who knows you better than them.

3)Start meditation as it will help to gain focus & mental strength. Start for 5 minutes& gradually you can increase the time limit

4)Find a hobby that can pass your spare time. It has been noticed people who have some active hobbies lives a better lifestyle than the other people

5)One can have a pet to spend some time with them. Because a pet can really be human-friendly as much as you expect. Also playing with them or go for a walk with your pet can helpful for physical level also.

Lastly all we a need a little bit self- awareness & some sort of supporting others to live that dream life.
