The year 2017 brought forth some amazing rhythms; few of which took the World by Storm.

Ed Sheeran, the ‘Weird Guy’ as he was called, left no music chart unconquered! With his song Shape of You becoming the most streamed and loved tracks of all times! Not only this but all the 17 tracks of his recent album ‘Divide’ entered top 20 at once and were much appreciated by his Followers around the Globe!

Fun Fact: Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ had over 1.4 billion streams on Spotify alone!

Next comes Kendrick Lamar, the man with supposedly the Best Album of the Year: ‘Damn’. His song ‘Humble’ isn’t climbing down the Music Charts and he has been nominated for the 60th Grammys!

But, his competition isn’t Easy…

With Jay-Z bringing out his one of the Best and most thoughtful Album: ‘4:44’; chances of Kendrick bagging all the awards is Bleak 🙂

Talking about Best Music, How can we forget ‘Despacito’, which is now the most viewed YouTube video, throwing of PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ from the Top Spot! The success and popularity of ‘Despacito’ have also served well to attract a number of talented country singers to the mainstream Music Industry!

Other Songs that can’t be ignored are ‘Thunder’ and ‘Believer’ by a now popular group of Musicians called ‘Imagine Dragons’. Chris Cornell’s ‘The Promise’ is being marked as the best rock performance by an Artist whereas LCD Soundsystem’s EDM track ‘Tonite’ has become one of the Headliners of the Music Industry.

What Now?

  • Mere Rashke Qamar [Baadshaho]

Others like Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran have also been to Mumbai to capture the now growing Music Fandom of our Nation!!!

While some mainstream Indian Musicians like AR Rahman, Shirley Setia, Arijit Singh; went on music tours across India…The other decided to take a Break before welcoming 2018 and the challenge, that it brings along, of creating a New Viral Hit.
